Ablaze Dating is an all-round AI dating coach: it scores your profile, writes bios and prompts, suggests messages, preps you for dates, and generates photos as one of five tools. TrueLook does only the photos, from 4 of your selfies, with a method built to keep your face exactly as it is. Choose Ablaze if you want cheap, broad coaching with photos thrown in; choose TrueLook if photos are your main problem and you want more styles, 4 shots per style and a longer refund window.
Below we look at how Ablaze works, what it charges, what its privacy policy and terms actually say, what public feedback exists, and how it compares with TrueLook on every dimension that matters for a dating profile. Facts about Ablaze come from its own website, web app, privacy policy and terms, opened in November 2026. We have not run tests of Ablaze's output and make no claims about match results for either product.
What Ablaze Dating is and how it works
Ablaze, which signs its site "Ablaze AI", runs at ablaze.dating with a web app at app.ablaze.dating. Its homepage pitches it as an AI dating coach for Hinge, Tinder, Bumble and Raya, organised in two steps: improve your profile, then improve your texting. Its terms say they are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, and require users to be at least 18. We could not find a company registration, a founding date or the names of the people behind it on the site, and there is no app in the Apple App Store under its name.
The five tools
| Tool | What it does | Input |
|---|---|---|
| Profile Analysis | Scores photos, prompts, bio and variety; flags red flags such as group shots, sunglasses and mirror selfies; gives a ranked fix list | Up to 15 screenshots of your profile |
| Photo Generator | Makes 12 to 24 new photos per pack in a chosen style | Up to 15 of your own photos |
| Bio and Prompt Writer | Drafts bios and prompt answers in a chosen tone (flirty, genuine, witty, playful) | A quiz of about 2 minutes |
| Chat Wingman | Openers based on a match's interests and photos, reply ideas, when and how to ask someone out | Screenshots of profiles or chats |
| Dating Coach AI | A chat for date prep: where to go, what to talk about, what to wear | Your questions |
The profile review page says it has "analyzed thousands of top-performing profiles" and shows sample scores such as a ranking against other Hinge users. The bio generator page says bios are ready in under 30 seconds after the quiz and that you can regenerate variations until one fits. Neither page explains how the scores are calculated, so treat them as guidance rather than measurement.
How the photo generator works
According to the photo generator page, you pick one of 20+ styles (from "coffee shop casual" to "black-tie"), upload up to 15 photos, and receive 12 to 24 images in under 2 minutes. The upload advice is sensible: a clear, well-lit face, different angles and no sunglasses. The numbers vary slightly between pages. The Tinder photoshoot page asks for 10 to 15 photos, and the dating headshots page asks for 8 to 12 selfies and names themed packs such as Mediterranean, Smart and classy, With your dog, World traveller and Beach.
How TrueLook works, for contrast
TrueLook asks for 4 clear selfies. From them it builds your character once; after that, each photo is a choice of place, outfit and mood, delivered in about a minute. Both packs have all 43 styles, and each style gives you 4 different shots. A free photo check scores your current photos first, but TrueLook has no bio writing or chat help.

Ablaze pricing in detail
Ablaze's marketing pages mostly say "Get started for free" and list no plans. The one public price is on its Tinder photoshoot page, which says Ablaze gets you "photoshoot-quality Tinder photos for $20", without saying whether that is a one-off charge.
The fuller price list sits inside the web app. At the time of writing (November 2026), the upgrade options built into app.ablaze.dating list the following. We read these from the app itself but did not buy anything, so check the checkout screen before paying.
| Option | Price | What it includes |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Your first profile analysis |
| Premium, weekly | $7.99 a week | Unlimited profile analyses, openers and replies, coach conversations, bios and prompts; photo packs give 24 photos instead of 12 |
| Premium, annual | $84.99 a year | The same, shown as "$1.63 / week, billed yearly" |
| Photo pack, single | $14.99 | One theme: 12 photos, or 24 with Premium |
| Photo packs, bundle | $49.99 | 10 packs, shown as "$5.00 per pack" |
The maths
- Weekly vs annual: $7.99 × 52 weeks = $415.48 a year if you never cancel, against $84.99 for the annual plan, about 80% less. Weekly billing adds up quickly: four weeks is $31.96, more than TrueLook's Fix Pack, which you pay for once.
- A single pack without Premium: $14.99 ÷ 12 photos = about $1.25 a photo.
- The 10-pack bundle without Premium: $49.99 ÷ 120 photos = about $0.42 a photo.
- The bundle with Premium: 240 photos for $49.99 = about $0.21 a photo, plus the subscription.
- The $20 photoshoot offer: $20 ÷ 12 to 24 photos = about $0.83 to $1.67 a photo.
For comparison, TrueLook's Fix Pack is $29 ÷ 30 photos = about $0.97 a photo, and the Pro Pack is $49 ÷ 140 photos = about $0.35 a photo. On raw price per photo, Ablaze's bundle is cheaper than either TrueLook pack. Bear in mind that a pack is tied to one theme, so 10 packs means 10 themes, while TrueLook lets you pick a style photo by photo.
Refunds
Ablaze's terms and conditions say "All purchases are final except where noted", then offer a full refund if you email within 48 hours of payment; later requests are "reviewed at our discretion". The terms say nothing specific about cancelling a subscription or auto-renewal, so note your renewal date when you subscribe.
TrueLook's packs are one-time payments: $29 (Fix Pack, up to 30 photos) and $49 (Pro Pack, up to 140 photos), with no subscription and nothing that renews. Its 14-day refund has conditions, including using less than 20% of your credits and testing the photos on a live profile for at least 7 days. So Ablaze's window is shorter but simpler; TrueLook's is longer but conditional.
Output and realism
What Ablaze shows
Ablaze's photo pages show polished lifestyle scenes, each captioned "Ablaze AI generated": cafés, outdoor settings, travel backdrops, studio headshots. The copy says the result "looks like you, not a filter" and that "the face stays yours", with better lighting and settings rather than a different person. It also says the AI enhances your features "without crossing into catfish territory". Several pages show a "3X Matches" badge without a source or method, which is best read as marketing.
The model behind it
Ablaze's privacy policy is unusually open about its suppliers. It says your photos, screenshots and text are sent to Google's Gemini API for analysis, and that photos for generation are processed through the "Nano Banana API". Nano Banana is the nickname of Google's Gemini 2.5 Flash Image model. When Google introduced it in August 2025, it highlighted placing "the same character into different environments" while preserving the subject, which fits what Ablaze promises. Google also said that every image created or edited with that model carries an invisible SynthID watermark, "so they can be identified as AI-generated or edited". That is worth knowing if you care about disclosure: the photos can be identified as AI-made by tools that read the watermark.
TrueLook's approach
TrueLook's HyperReal™ method treats your face as fixed and generates only the setting, clothing and light around it. The goal is the same in spirit as Ablaze's promise. The difference lies in control: TrueLook lets you choose each style from 43, on either pack, and gives you 4 shots of each, whereas Ablaze delivers a batch per themed pack.
Dating-app risks for any AI photo
- Verification. Tinder's Face Check FAQ says a video selfie is checked against your profile photos to see whether you "appear to be the same person". Photos that drift from your face make that harder.
- App rules. Bumble's community guidelines bar photos that are "heavily distorted" or use "exaggerated or unnatural digital effects" where it cannot be clearly determined that you are the person shown, and require at least one photo that clearly shows your full face.
- Your matches' view. In Match's 2025 Singles in America study, 44% of singles called AI-altered photos a dealbreaker. Realistic, modest photos are the safer bet, whichever tool you use.
Neither Ablaze nor TrueLook can promise how any app's checks will treat your photos; each app decides for itself. Our guide to whether AI photos are allowed on dating apps covers each app's policy in more detail.

Privacy and data
What Ablaze's policy says
- Suppliers: uploads and text go to Google's Gemini API; generation runs through the Nano Banana API; your account data and uploads are stored on Supabase infrastructure. The payment provider is not named.
- Retention: uploaded photos and profile content "are retained to deliver our services and may be deleted upon account deletion request". There is no automatic deletion period.
- Deletion: email hello@ablaze.dating; it says it responds to access, correction and deletion requests within 30 days, depending on where you live.
- Sale: "We do not sell your personal data to third parties."
- Training: the policy lists improving and debugging the product as a use of your data, but says nothing either way about training AI models on your photos. It has no last-updated date.
Google's own Gemini API terms explain why the supplier detail matters. On paid services, Google says it doesn't use prompts or responses to improve its products and logs them only for a limited time for abuse detection and legal reasons. On unpaid services, Google may use submitted content to improve its products, and human reviewers may read it. Ablaze's policy doesn't say which arrangement it uses, so if this matters to you, ask before uploading.
Ablaze's terms also say you keep ownership of what you upload, grant it a limited licence to process it on your behalf, and must not upload "content belonging to someone else without their consent". That last point applies to the Chat Wingman and profile review, which work from screenshots that may include other people's photos. Crop to what you need help with.
What TrueLook's policy says
TrueLook's privacy policy says the photos you upload and the photos made for you are never used to train, fine-tune or evaluate any AI model, TrueLook's or a third party's, and are never sold, shared with other users or used for advertising. You can delete your data from your account settings or by contacting us.
What users say about Ablaze
We looked for independent feedback on 2 November 2026 and found very little:
- Trustpilot: no page exists for ablaze.dating.
- App stores: no Ablaze app appears in the US App Store; the product is web-based.
- Reddit and forums: we found no threads discussing ablaze.dating.
- Directories: the homepage shows badges from AI tool directories such as There's An AI For That. Those listings are not user reviews.
The testimonials on Ablaze's own pages are the only user voices available, and they are chosen by the company. The absence of reviews doesn't mean the product is poor. It may simply be small or new. But it does mean you are relying on Ablaze's own claims, so the free first analysis and the 48-hour refund window are worth using as your test.

Where Ablaze is the better choice
Ablaze wins on breadth and entry price. One product covers profile feedback, bios, messages and date prep, and the first analysis is free. If you buy the 10-pack bundle, its price per photo is lower than TrueLook's. Its 48-hour full refund is simple to understand. If you need help with everything and your photos are only part of the problem, Ablaze gives you more tools for the money.
Where TrueLook is the better choice
TrueLook wins on photo control and transparency. You need only 4 selfies, you choose every style from 43 options, and each one gives you 4 different shots. Its pricing is published on the site rather than revealed inside an app, with no subscription in the mix, its privacy policy makes an explicit no-training commitment, and the refund window is 14 days. If photos are your bottleneck, a tool built only for photos is the more direct fix.

Who should choose which
- If you want feedback on your whole profile before spending anything, start with Ablaze's free analysis. It will tell you whether photos, prompts or your bio are weakest.
- If you already know your photos are the problem, such as old pictures, all selfies or no full-body shot, TrueLook is the more focused choice. Our guide to dating profile pictures explains what a strong set includes.
- If you want 100+ photos across many themes for the lowest price per photo, Ablaze's bundle is cheaper. Check that each theme suits you before buying 10.
- If you want several shots of the same scene, each TrueLook style gives you 4: a smile at the camera, a candid laugh, a wider scene and a close-up.
- If you want messaging and date-prep help too, Ablaze includes it; TrueLook doesn't. Pair TrueLook with your app's own tools or a messaging assistant such as those covered in TrueLook vs YourMove AI.
- If written privacy commitments matter most, compare the two policies: TrueLook's states that photos are never used for training; Ablaze's names its suppliers but doesn't address training.
Using Ablaze and TrueLook together
Because Ablaze's strength is feedback and words, and TrueLook's is photos, they can work as a pair:
- Get a baseline. Run Ablaze's free profile analysis on your current profile and note the photo, prompt, bio and variety scores.
- Fix the weakest photos. If photos score low, make a varied set with TrueLook: a clear headshot to lead, a full-body shot, an activity, a social or travel scene, and something dressed up.
- Rewrite the words around the photos. Ablaze's bio and prompt writer, or your own draft, should mention what your photos show, so matches have an easy opener.
- Re-check before you publish. If you subscribe to Premium, a second analysis can confirm the order of your photos.
- Cancel what you don't need. Once the profile is rebuilt, you may not need Ablaze Premium every week. TrueLook's pack doesn't renew, so there's nothing to cancel there.
Costs for both: TrueLook's Fix Pack at $29, one-time, plus four weeks of Ablaze Premium at $7.99 ($31.96) comes to $60.96. With Ablaze's annual plan instead, it's $29 + $84.99 = $113.99, which covers a year of coaching, and the TrueLook part doesn't recur. If you use TrueLook for photos, you don't need Ablaze's photo packs as well.
